Large water tank and foam tankThe HOWO 8×4 firefighting truck is a water-foam combined fire truck modified based on the HOWO 8×4 chassis, specifically designed for fighting large-scale oil fires and general material fires. The vehicle adopts a modular design and consists of two main parts: the firefighter's cab and the body. The cab features an original single-row structure that can accommodate 2 people, equipped with an air conditioning system and necessary communication equipment, providing a comfortable operating environment for firefighters.
The superstructure design of the HOWO 8×4 water-foam fire truck is highly reasonable. The body adopts an exposed tank structure, with the tank located in the middle for carrying 21,000 liters of water and 3,000 liters of foam. The water tank is made of high-quality carbon steel with the interior coated with epoxy primer and epoxy asphalt paint, the foam tank is made of stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The rear part is the pump house, which houses the CB10/80 type normal pressure fire pump and related control systems. With a rated flow of 80 L/s and a rated pressure of 1.0 MPa, it can quickly deliver large amounts of fire extinguishing agents, meeting the demands of high-intensity fire-fighting operations. The PL8/80 type water and foam dual-purpose fire monitor is installed on the roof, with a maximum flow rate of 80 L/s and a range of up to 75 meters (water) and 70 meters (foam). It is simple to operate and responds quickly.

Working Principle of the CB10/80 Fire Pump
The working principle of the CB10/80-XZ fire pump primarily includes the processes of priming, liquid transport, discharge, and cooling.
1. Priming Process
Before starting the fire pump, the primer is used to introduce liquid into the pump. The two-piston primer reciprocates to draw liquid from the water inlet into the pump body, preparing for pump startup.
2. Liquid Transport Process
When the fire pump starts, the impeller begins to rotate, and liquid enters the pump body through the water inlet. Within the pump, the liquid is pressurized and its flow rate increases through the double-stage impeller. This process is crucial for the fire pump to achieve its fire extinguishing function.
3. Discharge Process
The pressurized liquid is discharged from the pump body through the outlet pipe and enters the fire extinguishing system. The back pressure valve plays a key role in this process, ensuring one-way liquid flow and preventing backflow from damaging the pump. Simultaneously, the smoothness of the discharge process directly affects the fire extinguishing effectiveness of the system.
4. Cooling Process
During liquid transport, the pump body generates significant heat. To ensure normal operation and long lifespan of the pump, cooling tubes are used to cool the pump body. The cooling tubes circulate cooling liquid to dissipate the heat generated by the pump, ensuring stable operation.
The advantages of HOWO 8×4 fire truck:
1. Strong Power
The Sinotruk HOWO 8×4 foam fire engine is equipped with the MC11.46 engine, which provides strong power output, allowing the vehicle to easily handle various complex road conditions. Additionally, the FAST 12-speed gearbox with multiple gears further improves the vehicle's fuel economy and driving smoothness.
2. Efficient Fire-fighting Capability
The fire truck is equipped with a 21,000L water tank and a 3,000L foam tank, capable of meeting the needs of long-term and large-scale fire-fighting operations. The efficient coordination between the fire pump and fire monitor enables water mist and foam to quickly cover the fire source, effectively suppressing the spread of the fire. Furthermore, the flexible adjustment function of the fire monitor makes fire-fighting operations more precise and efficient.
3. Comfortable Driving Environment
The cab is equipped with an air conditioning system, providing a comfortable driving environment for firefighters. At the same time, the left-hand drive design and ergonomically designed seats make driving easier and more convenient.
4. Reliable Quality Assurance
Sinotruk HOWO vehicles enjoy a good reputation both domestically and internationally. This 8×4 water-foam fire truck inherits the excellent quality and reliable performance of the series, and has undergone strict quality control and testing to ensure the vehicle's stability and durability.
